Moved by the permeating influence of Prince and a perpetually inspired creative conscience, Carla R. shares her startling and distinctive style on lead guitar and as frontwoman for The Quasars.

While earning her degree in Music Theory and Composition from UNC Chapel Hill, Carla has since immersed herself into a wide range of motifs and concepts in her original music:  funk to blues to classical to rock to ambient.

Originally formed in Atlanta, GA in 2016, Carla R. and The Quasars' unique vibe was begun with Bassist, James “Jimi” Schneider and Drummer/ Percussionist, Bobby Andre.  As the music expanded, keyboardist Gavin Dobrin also joined, adding harmonic nuance and texture. 

After 2020, The Quasars stands ready to expand with a wealth of new grooves and perspective.

Carla R. and other dynamic collaborators continue to develop "Love Descent" a full length Album of classic riffs and unprecedented variation in genre.  In the process, she moved to take on additional musicians, pursuing an even wider range of interpretation.
